The Nevada County Economic Resource Council, located in northern California, is dedicated and positioned to assist in business attraction, creation and retention. Our economic professionals collaborate with community leaders in business, government, chambers of commerce and business associations. The ERC is your partner for success in Nevada County.

Taking advantage of comprehensive demographic data, our concierge assistance and re-locator services, the ERC has the tools and talent to help you build a solid business in Nevada County; where quality of life and a solid business environment work hand-in-hand. The ERC is committed to preserving the present and future vitality of Nevada County’s culturally rich and progressive economy. We are at your service.

The ERC mission centers around three principal programs:

Existing Industry Retention And Expansion
We recognize that our existing product and service exporters are absolutely essential to our local economy. By deriving the majority of their revenue by selling products and/or services outside of Nevada County, these are the companies that are most responsible for support of the retail, service and other sectors of the local economy. They do this by way of converting the dollars derived by their sales to local payroll, and by their own purchases as businesses.

The ERC is fully committed to the support of existing employers, as we understand it is these companies that will produce the vast majority of the County’s new job growth

Targeting New Industry Attraction
The ERC works to further diversify the job base by marketing Nevada County as a desirable job center to four targeted industry groups:
• Video broadcasting
• Medical manufacturing
• Information technology
• Renewable energy

Creation of New Business
The ERC fully supports the importance of business start-ups, and strives to encourage an atmosphere where new ideas are able to incubate and develop.

If you would like to learn more about the ERC, you are invited to attend a future meeting of the Board of Directors. The monthly meeting occurs the first Thursday of every month at 7:30am at Esterly Hall, Nevada County Association of Realtors, 336 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley, CA 95945.
